What goes on an electrician quote
QuoteCo does not print EICR, NICEIC, NAPIT or Part P certificates — it prints the quote and the invoice. Certification stays with your scheme provider.
Lines are yours to word: consumer unit supply and fit, a full rewire priced per room, a call-out plus first hour, testing time, or materials at cost. Each line takes a quantity and a rate, and the totals move as you type.
From quote to invoice in one press
Quote the job on site with its own EST number and an expiry date if you want one. When the customer accepts and the work is signed off, press Raise invoice.
The lines carry over into a new invoice with its own INV number and due date, the estimate is marked accepted, and both stay on file.
CIS on electrical work
Working under a contractor, tag each line as labour or materials. The deduction — 20% registered, 30% unregistered — applies to labour only, and the sheet shows the split and the net due. Details on GOV.UK; confirm the figures with your contractor and accountant.
FAQ
What's the difference between a quote and an invoice?
A quote is the price you offer before the work starts — it carries an EST number and can expire. An invoice is the request for payment once the work is done, with its own INV number, due date and payment details.
Does it add 20% VAT?
Yes. Turn VAT on and 20% is added to the subtotal and shown as its own line. Leave it off if you are not VAT registered.
Does QuoteCo print an EICR or a Part P certificate?
No. QuoteCo produces quotes and invoices only. Certification comes from your scheme provider or testing software — the paperwork here is the money side of the job.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the builder, price the job and print or save a PDF. An account is only needed if you want your documents synced across devices.
Do you take a cut of what my customer pays me?
No. QuoteCo never takes, holds or processes your customer's money. You add your own bank details or pay link and they pay you directly.
